Typical settings for email accounts hosted by Aussiecom Print

Below are the typical email settings required when configuring your email software.

If you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8 please see this separate help page.

If your emails have recently stopped working, it may be because our servers are becoming more strict regarding the port numbers and encryption settings listed below. You must turn on encryption for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers, and the ports must be correct.

If you get ALL of those settings below correct your email account should work fine. If you don’t get ALL of them correct you will probably won't be able to send and/or receive emails.

TYPE OF ACCOUNT – you can choose either POP/POP3 or IMAP (POP/POP3 is simplest. We recommend you choose POP on your computer unless you want to sync subfolders or the SENT folder across multiple devices)

INCOMING DETAILS -

Incoming (POP3 or IMAP) mail server : mail.yourdomain.com.au (replace "yourdomain.com.au" with whatever your domain name is)
Username : Your email address
Password : If you are unsure of your password please contact us and we can reset it
Security/SSL/encryption : TLS (or SSL if TLS doesn't work)
Port number : 993 if it's an IMAP account, or 995 if it's a POP account

OUTGOING DETAILS -

Outgoing (SMTP) server : Same as for the incoming server
Username : Same as for the incoming username
Password : Same as for the incoming password
Port number : 465
Security/SSL/encryption : TLS (or SSL if TLS doesn't work)

To find these settings, go into the email settings in your email software. To see the port numbers and encryption settings you may then need to click "More Settings" and/or "Advanced".
